In October 2009 Temperzone Australia and Hitachi formed a strategic alliance that saw Temperzone become the the exclusive distributor of Hitachi Air Conditioning products in Australia.
The combination of the Temperzone and Hitachi product ranges in both the domestic and commercial markets has produced the most comprehensive range of airconditioning products in Australia
Temperzone is the largest Australasian manufacturer of air conditioning equipment, with manufacturing plants in Sydney and Auckland. Temperzone is the leading commercial airconditioning manufacturer for the Australian and New Zealand markets and also exports into Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and China.
Temperzone has been manufacturing air conditioning equipment for over 50 years. In fact as many of its competitors moved their manufacturing offshore, Temperzone has increased the size and capacity of its Australian and New Zealand factories.
Hitachi is one of the largest Japanese air conditioning manufacturers. It is also a manufacturer of heavy engineering equipment, transportations systems, electronics, power tools and consumer appliances.
2010 is Hitachi’s 100th anniversary and has had an air conditioning presence in Australia for over 25 years.
Hitachi has been an innovator in development of consumer air conditioning products for over 30 years and produced the first functional inverter air conditioner and was also an early developer of the scroll compressor. Both of these systems are widely used across the air conditioning industry today.
The strategic alliance between Temperzone and Hitachi is based on both companies strong belief in quality as the basis of everything they undertake. This quality philosophy extends from design and development through to manufacturing, sales, installation and after sales service.
